I was born in 1985 in the super awesome city of Seattle, Washington.  I started recording music while attending Bush School, from which I graduated with my high school diploma in 2003.  During that time, I released six albums of pure raw sickness. In 2003 and 2004, I attended St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico for my freshman year of college.  The curriculum at SJC focused on the greatest literary works of western civilization, and though I only stayed at the school for one year, I was able to record four albums worth of Great Book Songs. For the remaining three years of my undergraduate degree, I attended DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, which is where both my parents are originally from.  I received my B.A. in Geography in 2007.  In these formative college years, I released several solo albums, and also joined forces with Ben Althouse (Concept/Ice Ben) to form The Metaphorics, Parker Reddington (Parker Joe of S.O.T.A./P. Riddy/Catharsis) to form Rhyme and Recreation, and Andrew McClure (Cassidy/Smoke Ninja) to formWhale Shark. I remained in Chicago to attend the University of Illinois-Chicago, from which I received my Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy in 2010.  In recent years I have performed dozens of shows and open mics in Chicago, Seattle, and in far off places such as Beijing, China and Santiago, Chile.  I’ve even recorded three live albums.

Three years of rocking house in Carbondale and various places, peppering the country with sweet, sweet acoustic rock and roll has now brought Steve Sebby here. He spent his college career playing shows with a good friend, Phil Powell…..perhaps we should start from the beginning. After a brief stint in the Marine Corps, Steve Sebby set out to broaden his spectrum of knowledge at Southern Illinois University. There he started his career as a solo live musician, getting whatever shows that he could get with the limited amount of networking that he had done upon arrival. He soon met J.D. Blair who would act as manager from then on, until their paths split years later. They frequented open mics and played dive bars until they ran into Phil Powell, a lead man with a soulful blues background. After trying a show as a duo to see how it would go, the two decided that Sebby’s solo career could wait. It sounded too good to pass up. J.D. eventually came across an opportunity to live in Jax Beach, Florida, where he proceeded to book shows for them. It was time for a Florida tour. They spent a few months playing east coast towns in Florida all the way up to Savanna Georgia. There, they learned the good and the bad of playing music for a living. The good outweighed the bad by a long shot, but they still ran out of money. Phil and Steve went back to Illinois while J.D. stayed in Florida. It was time to resume life as usual where they picked up a drummer who grew up on jazz. Dan Petrella said that he could add a much needed sound to our band, so they took his word for it. He was right, and was promptly brought on as the drummer. As a trio, they made our first broadcast radio debut on college radio, a few internet radio stations, and their first television debut on a PBS show called “Studio A Presents.” They continued to play as much as they could until Sebby’s college career came to an end. Their last few shows, with a new bass player named Alan to complete the band, were farewell shows. The band “Kerouline,” sadly, is no more. His solo career is right where he left it, and he’s here to pick it up and carry on.

Penrose is Thomas Murphy, Patrick Murphy, and Daniel Murphy, three brothers from Philadelphia. The origins of the band probably date back to their grade school days taking piano lessons together, but in the Spring of 2009 they played their first show together in a warehouse in North Philadelphia. Since then the brothers have worked to create an original, hard hitting sound that combines the hard rock of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath with the delta blues of John Lee Hooker and R.L.
