“We took from 1999 to 2009 off, collectively, and dispersed to Kansas City, Hawaii, Texas, Los Angeles, Colorado, Nicaragua and started writing again in early ’09, just for the hell of it. Roger wanted to test his recording accumen and techniques and we both had a sincere desire to make good music again. January 3rd of 2010 was the first rehearsal to bring most of this music to the stage. We were able to entice super-pro Pete Kruse into drumming with us and along with ‘the greatest thing ever to be found on craigslist’ Bill Stulgin and Kathleen Irion, (playing every instrument under the sun, quite deftly), we were able to hone the songs into a tight, live show that you really have to see to believe. Tim, Steve and Bill comprise one hell of a great horn section while me, Roger and Pete lock down the rhythm. Then Lailah and Kathleen come along and pour warm gravy all over everything with soul, harmony, sincerity and pure awesomeness. This is the funnest, best band I’ve ever played, I hope you love it as much as I do. ”
